Human or Elf? Part One

  You stared at the computer as you scrolled through Google, your chin in your hand. It was about 1:00 in the morning and you were bored out of your mind. Finally you decided that instead of the computer, you were going to read. You scooted back from your desk and stretched. Walking back to your bed, you lazily snatched your book off the corner of your nightstand. Falling back into bed, you started to bring your (favorite color) blanket up and over you. But you stopped and stared at your window as you heard a small thud, like an arrow hitting a tree.


Your curiosity got the best of you. You threw off the covers and drew back the curtains of your window. Peering outside, you saw nothing but the 50 trees that surrounded your house. Sighing, you pulled open the window and leaned out, nearly falling. You spotted a glimmering arrow protruding out of the nearest tree. "So it was an arrow" you whispered to yourself. Quickly pulling back into your room, you smacked your head on the bottom of the window. After the pain subsided, you shut the window, yanked open your door, and tiptoed downstairs.


After you had cleared the stairs, you bolted, to the back door, a sliding door thankfully, and ran outside. You found the arrow you saw from the window and studied it. It had three bright yellow feathers, obviously it was made by someone of intense skill. It took much strength to pull it out of the tree, but you managed. You felt the tip,  super sharp.


 "Excuse me, but that's mine" Said a gentle, proper voice. You spun around fast, knocking yourself off balance. You thought you were going to hit the ground but instead you were caught and pulled back up. You opened your eyes. You were looking into the bright, calm blue eyes of a man. No, it couldn't be a man, he was too fast. You studied his details, he had long, light blonde hair that was pulled back into a half pony tail. since his hair was tucked back, you looked at his ear, pointed. Your eyes flung open, he was an elf! That's why he was so fast, and so accurate with aim! 'Are you sure this is real?' you thought too yourself, 'Is he real?'


'Of course I am', you heard his voice, but his mouth wasn't moving, it was then when you realized he was talking to you through your mind.


You can hear my thoughts? You asked him. A smile tugged at his lips and he nodded, his eyes never left yours. You felt your face grow bright red. He chuckled and blushed too, pulled away, realizing his arms were still around your waist. You laughed and rubbed you arm, stopping at the top of your arm and shrugged.

He looked up and gazed into your (eye color) eyes. You snapped out of it once you remembered you had his arrow and handed it to him. As he took it from you he grabbed your hand. Startled, you looked back into his face. An encouraging look had lit up his face and he stepped back a couple steps. Reluctantly you agreed and followed him while he ran through the trees.

     He looked back at you and marveled at how you could keep up with him.                                                                          
    "Where are we going?" you asked the elf as you ran with him holding your hand.

   "Back to my realm!" he smiled back. 'Man he has to stop smiling, and what does he mean "realm"'. You thought to yourself, blocking out him so he didn't hear you. "What is your name by the way?" he asked when they stopped to rest.

"(y/n)" you panted, "what's yours?"

"Legolas" he replied straitening up. "We are almost there"

"Where is 'there'?"

"Rivendell"
